After returning from WES 2007 I have a few observations. The show is gaining popularity and has really changed over the past few years.

Here are the important factors the way I see it.
  1.  Applications Rule - The show was all about wireless applications like Mobile Edge (formerly CRM on the Go).  Although the new devices made quite a splash but the applications are the definitely the key focus for the attendees.
  2. GPS - GPS on the BlackBerry is a primary focus.  Especially applications that integrate with GPS functionality.
  3. European BlackBerry Community - There were many more Europeans this year indicating that BlackBerry is taking hold globally.
  4. Cool Devices - With the Pearl and new 8800 series there is a general understanding that these devices are better than any other device out there for both prosumers and professionals.
